A letter of interest is sent to a company or an institute to see if the institute has any job openings that would be a good fit for you and to let them know that you are interested in working with them.
A letter of interest is different from a regular cover letter because you don’t write a letter of interest in response of any job opening but in fact, a letter of interest is a great way to get your foot in the door with a company you are interested in.
Given below are some tips to write a good letter of interest:
1. Try to find out name of the person who will be receiving your letter and address him directly.
2. Keep your letter short and to-the-point and clearly state why the company interests you and why your skills and experience would be an asset to the company.
3. Include your contact information and you might even suggest setting up an informational interview if there are no current vacancies at the company.

ABC Primary School

Atlanta, Georgia 87293
Dear Ms. Smith:
During my 5 years extensive experience as a teacher, I have been passionate and committed to maximize individual student performance, inspire students’ interest in technology and instill a sense of self-worth among all students. I have dedicated my career to each of these pursuits, as my enclosed resume will attest.
In my most recent position as an elementary teacher at City School, I have provided effective classroom management, creative lesson plans, detailed student evaluations and highly praised instructional delivery. With strong instructional skills, patience, excellent communication skills, ability to discipline students and demonstrated ability to translate lesson plans into learning experiences, I believe that your school will be benefited from my fresh approach across many subject matters.
My resume is attached for your concern. I am looking forward to meet with you to discuss this opportunity in further detail. I will call your office after 6 days to see if it is possible to arrange a meeting at the time of your convenience. In the meantime, I can be reached at (372) 238-5836.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
