HR Manager

Dear Mr. Anderson:

This letter is an official resignation from my position as a Cashier on 2 weeks’ notice. The last two years that I have spent working as a Cashier at AAA Company have been the most wonderful years of my life as I have learned a lot from my experience. However, it is time for me to move on as I have been offered a sales position in Dodge City and need to move from Topeka at the end of three weeks.

AAA Company has taught me everything that I know about the retail world and I am really thankful for this experience and the opportunity given to polish my abilities. My superiors and colleagues have been incredible in supporting me learn the ropes. It is sad that I will have to move so far in order to continue a job near to my home.

During this two weeks’ transition, I will not only train my substitute, but also, I will help enthusiastically in looking for the right candidate.

I would be grateful if you provide me with a reference letter at the end of two weeks to make things easy. Thank you for the support you have provided me during my time here.

Sincerely,
