Dealing with enquiries from patients, liaising with doctors, consultants and other healthcare professionals. Carrying out all clerical support duties including: photocopying, typing, filing, post, telephone answering etc.


Typing of referral and other letters for GP’s via digital or written dictation.
Entering urgent / routine referrals on patient records.
Answering the telephone and dealing with queries from patients and hospitals etc.
Distributing incoming and outgoing post and information to relevant parties.
Chasing unpaid invoices.

Able to develop and implement new administrative systems.
Experienced in copy & audio typing – 60 wpm Audio typing.
Able to be discreet and understand the importance of confidentiality.
Ability to focus and high levels of concentration when typing medical letters.
Can deal with aggressive patients and their relatives or friends.
Aware of the relevant legislation and the legal implications of requests for information.
