College Clerks have duties which vary from college to college, but their responsibilities are mainly administrative and clerical. They are required to carry out tasks like photocopying, handling correspondence, providing support to admission office and receiving visitors etc. College clerk is the first person that you come across when you enter a college office. It is his duty to provide the visitors or callers with information regarding the college policies and procedures. Therefore, good communication skills are very important.

Other duties that a college clerk is required to perform includes  updating student attendance records, providing information to school staff, writing periodic reports, arranging meetings, creating class schedules and making sure that the printouts of schedules are distributed to each teacher.

A resume for the position of college clerk must demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy and attention to details, communication abilities, time management, and average IT skills.
